Hall and Facility Rental at Penshurst Anglican Church
Thank you for your interest in holding your event at Penshurst Anglican Church. Our church facilities are available for rent to both members and non-members. The list below contains information about our facilities that we hope will be helpful to you in planning your event. Please note that it is a condition of all hires that the hire must be covered by a valid public liability insurance policy. If you already have a valid policy, you must supply us with a copy of the Certificate of Currency which notes the interests of Penshurst Anglican Church on the policy. For one-off hires, if you don't already have a relevant policy, then we can extend our policy to cover your event. The Public Liability Insurance Form (One-Off Hirers) must be completed and payment of $61.86 (ordinarily $161.86 but subsidised by the Anglican Church Property Trust) must be made directly to our insurers, Ansvar Insurance Limited.

Monday - Friday before 1pm: $60 (max. 2.5 hours)

Monday - Friday before 5:00pm: Minimum hire of 2 hours at $30, then $15 per hour thereafter
Monday - Friday after 5:00pm to 10:00pm: Minimum hire of 2 hours at $40, then $20 per hour thereafter
Saturday - Sunday: Minimum hire of 2 hours at $60, then $30 per hour thereafter

Saturday - Sunday: Minimum hire of 2 hours at $70, then $35 per hour thereafter

Additional security bond of $400 required. This amount is GST-free to the extent that it is not forfeited.

Friday after 5:00pm to Sunday: Minimum hire of 2 hours at $80*, then $40 per hour thereafter
* Rates include set-up times.

HIRE RATES FOR WEDDINGS IN THE CHURCH

Weddings in the church when wedding is conducted by Parish Minister.

Completion of Notice of Intended Marriage (Blue Form)

4-week marriage preparation course

NB. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to secure booking. Balance is payable at pre-wedding rehearsal.
Additional charge for organist:
$100 for rehearsal;
$150 for ceremony
Weddings in the church when wedding is conducted by celebrant other than Parish Minister.

Overhead / Digital projector and screen* - $5 per hour (min. 2 hours to a max. charge of $20 per day)
PA system with up to 4 microphones* - $20 per hour (min. 2 hours to a max. charge of $80 per day)
1 microphone with 1 speaker* - $10 per hour (min. 2 hours to a max. charge of $50 per day)
Extension cords - No charge
Whiteboard - No charge
Musical Instruments (drums, electronic keyboard)* - $20 per hour (min. 2 hours to a max. charge of $80 per day)
* Additional security bond of $400 required. This amount is GST-free to the extent that it is not forfeited.
Kitchen facilities including use of industrial size stove and oven, dishwasher and pie warmer - $15 per hour
Set-up services (chairs and/or table) - $40 per hour
Tables and Chairs (15 tables and 100 chairs) - $10 per hour
Cancellation / Contract Revision fee - $20 (min. 2 hours to a max charge of $50 per day)
